Holguin FMC keeps moving forward in the process of its 11th Congress inspired on the slogan “Cuban Women Conquerors of the Impossible”.
The Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) take advantage of the preparation of its Congress to discuss bout the work during last five years.
Elizabeth Martínez Quintero, secretary general of the FMC in the province, commented to Radio Angulo that the process in the delegations and blocks began to develop on May 15.
“In each assembly the conscience of our women has stood out, since the essential objective is to transform our functioning, in addition to evaluating all the work done in this stage that precedes the appointment”, she said.
During the months of preparation, the Holguin FMC was the scene of an exhaustive work, in order to perfect the work, as well as to elaborate programs and design strategies in favor of gender equality in the country.
“Our call is directed to change our way of doing, the federates must understand that we are all the organization and we should not wait for indications to do things of value,” said the secretary.
Likewise, Martinez Quintero emphasized that the priority is to transform the life of the organization in the communities, with special attention to those in vulnerable situations.
The National Convention is scheduled to be held on March 8, a date that celebrates the role of women and their contribution to the construction of a better country.
