Radio, that wonderful form of communication that has touched our lives in unimaginable ways, celebrates its World Radio Day. Since its beginnings, it has been a medium that captures the attention of millions of people around the world.

Through its airwaves it reaches their homes, workplaces and even means of transportation; voices that, although their faces are often unknown, are familiar, because they accompany, entertain, inform and even excite.

It has that special magic of making us feel part of something bigger. When we tune in our devices we connect with the outside world and immerse ourselves in stories, music and conversations that take us to unknown places. It is this ability to transport us without having to move that makes it unique and familiar.

A vital tool in times of crisis. Whether in natural disasters or emergency situations, it is a source of information and comfort for those who have been affected. Radio voices then take on the color of hope and solidarity in difficult times.

And what can we say about the dedication and passion of the great family of radio broadcasters; whoever knows radio from the inside is totally in love, not by chance its World Day is so close to the day of love, yes, because love guides the work of all the people who despite intense hurricanes, devastating pandemics, technological deficiencies, economic crisis and difficult personal situations, enter a radio station and leave aside all the problems to make the magic of sound from the microphones a reality.
