He referred that it was a very fruitful assembly which was athended by the country’s main cultural authorities, of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) and of the Union of Historians (UNHIC) marking a new period in the mandate of the UNHIC, in which Holguin came out strengthened, having several representatives in the national committee of this organization.

The delegate to the assembly also highlighted the importance of the presence of the Union of Cuban Journalists (UPEC) and the significance of the alliance between the press and historians.

These two days were devoted to analyze four topics: teaching and research of history, the use of social networks in terms of teaching and dissemination and the internal structure of the UNHIC.

The assembly was an opportunity to analyze the work done during the last five years and to elect the national secretariat that will guide the management in the next stage, as well as to pay tribute to the associates from all over the country who are physically absent, but whose investigative legacy endures in time.
