Solid Waste Collection Boosted in Holguin

The state-owned micro, small, and medium-sized enterprise (MSME) TSA S.U.R.L. in Holguin is strengthening its solid waste collection services. As part of the diversification of services that is driving its economic growth and integration into the region’s productive network.

Gerlin Cuevas Tassé, the entity’s administrator, explained to the Cuban News Agency that among the 24 approved activities, the collection, disposal, and treatment of non-hazardous waste. Also as well as the recovery of materials permitted by current legislation, are particularly noteworthy.

He specified that the work focuses on the collection of municipal solid waste. Excluding flammable or hazardous materials, and includes cleaning areas in state institutions, tourist resorts, and joint ventures.

As part of its production line, the company has its own resources for sanitation work. Including transportation equipment such as tricycles, pickup trucks, and dump trucks. Which allows for greater efficiency in the collection and transport of materials.

Cuevas Tassé pointed out that TSA establishes contracts with various entities. Such as high-production companies, where efficient waste management is essential for maintaining hygiene and sanitation standards. As well as generating income that contributes to the financial sustainability of the micro, small, and medium-sized enterprise (MSME).

Moreover this activity includes environmental sanitation actions, such as cleaning outdoor areas and gardening work. According to the needs of individual or corporate clients and the demands of the region.

TSA S.U.R.L. maintains food services as its main activity and is diversifying its operations into complementary areas such as waste collection. With the aim of expanding its operational capacity and strengthening the economic contribution of its workers.
