Just a few days ago, the first Community Food Center was inaugurated in the rural area of Las Marías. Located within the Manuel Rodríguez Fuentes Mambí Front. In the municipality of Urbano Noris, according to a radio report from this Holguin town.

Also the new center, with a capacity for 10 people, is the result of collaboration between the local government, the Municipal Directorate of Labor and Social Security. The idea to create this space arose from a study of social vulnerability and the differentiated work being done with this community in Holguin. Juan Fernández Camilo, president of the People’s Council, declared that the opening of this Community Food Center is part of the differentiated attention given to the Limoncito community. The province of Holguin plans to create 20 Community Food Centers. While the total number across the country will reach 300.

In exceptional cases, pregnant women living in economically vulnerable households who require nutritional support.
