Cuba denounces the perfidious attitude of the U.S. delegation at the UN

The United States government is lying in a crude and persistent manner at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). Denounced Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Cuba’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, today. His remarks came in the context of a debate on a draft resolution opposing the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the North American nation against the island.

On his account on the social media platform X, Rodríguez Parrilla stated that the U.S. Permanent Representative, Mike Waltz—displaying arrogance and conceit—forgot this Tuesday that he was at the United Nations. Waltz made yet another desperate attempt to justify the economic aggression against Cuba and the criminal energy blockade imposed upon it.

Also Rodríguez Parrilla remarked that these statements are part of a media circus, a campaign of threats, and electioneering. Efforts to which the U.S. government devotes significant financial and human resources.

“There is no pretext to justify the act of collective punishment to which the Cuban people are being subjected,” the Cuban Foreign Minister wrote. Accompanying his post with the hashtag #CubaIsNotAThreat—the blockade is.
