Summoned by Manuel Hernandez Aguilera, Governor of the province of Holguin, the second edition of the event of opportunities “We empower the local” began this Friday morning at the EXPOHOLGUIN Fair and Exhibition Center with the slogan: “Women in the economy of Holguin”, a meeting that makes possible the inter-entrepreneurial development of the territory.

From this Friday until tomorrow 27th, 32 producing companies, eight MSMEs and seven forms of private management that produce or commercialize and others that offer goods and services will meet here in search of new economic ventures.
Among the companies attending with suggestive proposals and expositions are Commerce and Gastronomy of the province, the subsidiary Plásticos Cajimaya of Mayarí and the agroforestry company of Sagua de Tánamo, Acopio Holguín, Granos Gibara and the small private company “Rikoo”, commercial name of the ice cream and star product of the economic grouping.

New forms of management include the state-owned MSME “Arcilla Roja” in the municipality of Moa, the food production and distribution company NUMA and its UEBs, the mini-industry producing canned food, “La Escondida” of the UBPC “Carlos Noris” in Rafael Freyre, the agro-industrial company in Baguanos and the MSME “El Guajiro” in the municipality of Gibara, a large marketer of agricultural products, fruit, grains and vegetables for social consumption.
