Cuban Prime Minister tours social and economic places in Antilla

Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz visited this Wednesday places of economic and social interest of the municipality of Antilla, in Holguin province.

Accompanied by Ernesto Santiesteban Velázquez, First Secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba in that territory, and Governor Manuel Francisco Hernández Aguilera, Marrero Cruz arrived at the port of that locality, where he exchanged with workers of the Unidad Básica de Servicios Marítimos Antilla, subordinated to the company Empresa de Navegación Caribe, reported the Government on the social network X.

Francisco Arcalla Fernández, director of the entity, explained to the Cuban premier the concerns of the workers on the technical condition of the vessels, the repair of the docks and the delay in the payment of utilities.

The head of government insisted on banishing bureaucracy, accommodation and inefficiency in order to take advantage of the potential of the local productive systems.Marrero Cruz talked with workers and fishermen associated to the Base Aserrío sawmill, where he was interested in the commercialization of products and the availability of inputs for the activity.

On Wednesday, Cuban Prime Minister visited El Mesón, one of the seven centers of the Family Attention System in that locality, where he exchanged with local residents and insisted on working together to contribute to the socioeconomic development of Antilla, a territory with numerous potentialities in different sectors.
