Professors and researchers from the University of Holguin participate -online- in the II United Culture Conference, organized by the Department of Foreign Languages and Communication Technologies of the National University of Research and Technology MISIS of Russia.
The event that takes place from November 22 to 24, this year, for the first time, Holguin’s house of higher studies joins the event.
Professors Geisy Torres Serrano, Yusimí Borjas Algecira and Yasmina Luisa Hernández Silva will participate as speakers.
One of the main objectives of the Conference is to establish collaboration between universities and cultures of Latin America and Russia.
University of Holguin participates in II United Culture Conference
Among the topics included in the program is History and Legacy, which includes papers such as: Legacy of the Russian philosopher Nikolai Konstantinovich Rerij in multiple fields of human knowledge; Literary translation as intercultural mediation: contrastive analysis of the novel I Am Not a Crying Man and Creativity and culture through words.
Tomorrow there will be a dialogue on Culture and Society, an opportunity to present research such as: Towards a Public Policy of inclusive television, of regional interest, from the national universities of Peru; The mediation of literature in the teaching of Spanish as a second foreign language and How do you look, what do you eat, what do you believe in? A look at Cuban culture through phraseology.
The last day of sessions, next Friday, will focus on the study of Spanish, phraseology and diatopic variants as a foreign language, challenges and practices of its teaching and its impact on language tourism.

The first United Culture Conference, in 2022, counted with the participation of the Technical University of Manabí of Ecuador and the National University of Trujillo of Peru.
