Rhapsody, new personal exhibition by Holguin-born doctor

The personal exhibition “Rhapsody”, by Holguin-born artist Victor Manuel Velazquez Mirabal, is now open to the public at the Fausto Cristo Gallery of the local headquarters of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (Uneac).

Writer Manuel Garcia Verdecia assures in his words to the catalog and presentation that in his work “there is a multitude of creatures, objects, shapes, a multiplicity of colors”.

With this, adds the intellectual, he seeks to fertilize our fantasy and stimulate each one to generate his own fables and visions with which he can understand, explain, realize in a more conscious and effective way his own life”.

“Rhapsody” that is made up of 23 pieces was curated by Roxana La O Sanchez. In it, Victor Manuel makes a thematic display that allows him to quote scenes of universal art as well as to expose his personal experiences.

Previously, the specialist in Ophthalmology also brought to light “Iluminaciones”, an exhibition that brought together several works mostly made during the Covid-19 and was exhibited at the Hotel Ordoño, as part of the XVI International Film Festival of Gibara.

To this is added “Obras completas” (Complete Works), due at the end of 2021, whose pieces allude to everyday life and arouse, from different formats, a multiplicity of readings.
