The Holguin Cubs halted the perfect run of the Santiago de Cuba “Avispas” (Wasps) with a 9-4 victory. Leaving the National Baseball Series without any undefeated teams.

With these results, Santiago de Cuba and Sancti Spiritus share the top spot in the Eastern Zone. Both with a record of four wins and one loss. Followed by Holguin and Ciego de Avila, who hold a 3-2 record.
Las Tunas and Granma stand at two wins and three losses. While Camagüey and Guantanamo round out the standings with one win in five games.
In the West, the Pinar del Rio Vegueros capitalized on an offensive outburst in the seventh inning to defeat the Isla Pirates 14-10 at Capitán San Luis Stadium, taking sole possession of first place.
Alfonso Urquiola’s squad staged a comeback with a nine-run rally that erased their opponent’s lead and secured their fourth consecutive victory.
At Latinoamericano Stadium, the Industriales Leones defeated the Artemisa Cazadores via a 12-1 knockout. Powered by an offense that tallied 12 hits—including home runs by Yasmani Tomás, Ariel Hechavarría, and Carlos Alberto Nieto.
Young pitcher Fher Cejas—a member of the Cuban preliminary roster for the U-23 World Cup in Nicaragua. Delivered a solid six-inning start, allowing just one hit while striking out seven and issuing no walks.
Meanwhile, the Mayabeque Huracanes beat the Matanzas Cocodrilos 11-9 at Victoria de Girón Stadium in a game featuring six home runs that kept the scoreboard active.
The Western slate concluded with the Cienfuegos Elefantes defeating the Villa Clara Leopardos 11-4 at 5 de Septiembre Stadium. In a rain-shortened game where Raúl Pérez hit a home run.
