In the current context of Cuba’s economic transformations. Holguin hosted a Business Forum for Territorial Development this Thursday at the Hotel Pernik. The forum brought together representatives from state-owned enterprises, the tourism sector, micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), cooperatives, and investors.
The objective of this meeting was to promote productive alliances. To identify investment opportunities, and strengthen the region’s business network.
A key moment of the event was the presentation of the PICLA Management and Trade Platform. A collaborative space between Cuba and China. This platform has arrived in Holguin to facilitate trade, logistics, and access to supplies, without intermediaries, from the Asian giant for the province’s economic actors.
At another time, tourism entities and companies presented their portfolio of Opportunities in the Sector. In light of the new transformations that are fostering greater openness to private management. Amidst the impact on tourism caused by US government sanctions.
In this forum, the Holguin business sector explored possibilities for collaboration, commercial and production linkages. With an emphasis on finding solutions that contribute to strengthening the local economy and territorial development.
