Cuba’s National Assembly of People’s Power will discuss critical issues for the country this week. Evaluate the implementation of ongoing economic and social transformations.
The Seventh Ordinary Session of Parliament, in its 10th Legislature, will begin on July 29th at the Havana Convention Center. Its agenda includes an update on the execution of the 2026 State Budget and the presentation of the settlement for 2025.
The deputies will also analyze several draft laws. Including: the Agricultural and Forestry Land Law, the Housing Law, the Law on the Organization of the Central State Administration. The Personal Identity and Domicile System Law, and the new Labor Code.
Prior to the legislative session, parliamentary committees conducted an analytical exercise. Demonstrating a collaborative approach, by evaluating and approving the draft legislation. That will be submitted to the plenary for discussion, the Assembly reported on its website.
Moreover the meeting, led by the President of Parliament, Esteban Lazo, enriched the regulations through debate and shared knowledge. A genuine expression of the participatory nature of the archipelago’s socialist democracy.
The deputies agreed that the proposed legal norms reflect the diverse issues that affect the daily lives of the population and the country’s institutions.
