Holguin Commemorates Seventh Anniversary of the National Electoral Council 0

The seventh anniversary of the National Electoral Council was commemorated on July 11th in the city of Holguin. At an event held in the Revolution Hall, with the presence of Joel Queipo Ruiz, First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in the province. And Manuel Hernández Aguilera, Governor of the province.

The celebration coincided with dates of great historical significance for the country: the centennial of the birth of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz. And the 73rd anniversary of the attacks on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks. Evoking the commitment to the continuity of the revolutionary work.

During the event, the work of the Cuban electoral body was highlighted. The Council emerged as part of the refinement of the democratic system. Its seven years of work have been characterized by transparency, organization, and dedication to the people.

In his keynote address, Julio Caballero Terrero, president of the Provincial Electoral Council. Reaffirmed the responsibility to guarantee increasingly robust electoral processes. As well as the role of new generations in the system’s sustainability. He emphasized that these young people represent the future guarantee of citizen participation. As they are instilled with civic and democratic values from an early age.

The event included the presentation of awards to institutions that support the electoral process. Including the Office of Procedures of the Ministry of the Interior, ETECSA (the Cuban telecommunications company), the Provincial Directorate of Education, and the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution. For their contributions to the organization, information, and logistics of the processes.

Electoral system workers were also recognized for their performance. With special emphasis on the work of the young computer specialist Omar Anthony Pérez Macareño, acknowledged for his professionalism and dedication.

The ceremony reaffirmed the commitment of Holguin’s electoral system workers to transparency, discipline, and respect for the popular will. In accordance with the principles upheld by the Cuban Revolution.
