The first fair “Potenciamos lo local”, to be held from November 23 to 25 in the city of Holguín, will showcase the opportunities and experiences of the mini-industries and new economic actors for the development and use of local resources.
The event that will be held at Expo-Holguin exhibition center will be an opportunity to facilitate alliances in the expansion and quality of the goods and services offered to the population, according to the announcement made.

It will also contribute to the promotion of production chains, import substitution and the growth of the province’s exportable products, through proposals that preserve culture and traditions and have a positive impact on community development.
The event, convened by the governor of the province, Manuel Francisco Hernández Aguilera, will also include theoretical spaces for the exchange and training in economic and other topics of interest in accordance with the objective of the fair.
First mini-industries fair to be held in Holguín
This edition is part of the activities for the 65th anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution and the Economist’s Day, this November 26, in honor of the appointment of Ernesto Che Guevara as president of the National Bank of Cuba, on the same date in 1959.
Holguín has more than 350 companies, including state-owned, private and non-agricultural cooperatives, and implements a wide-ranging program that encourages the use of local resources in areas such as food production, renewable energy production, the use of renewable energy and services dedicated to expanding the offers to the population.
