Holguin oral storytelling company to Havana

From Holguín came to Casa de las Américas, in Havana, the art of the oral storytelling company Palabras Al Viento, with the the art of the oral narration company Palabras Al Viento, with the oral narration oral storytelling show “Cuban Fables”, inspired by the book “Akeké and the Akeké y la jutía, by Miguel Barnet, under the artistic direction of Fermín López Hernández.

Lopez stressed that “the audience spontaneously participated and traveled with us through various fabulous spaces”.

The storyteller emphasized that he is grateful to the Provincial Council of the Performing Arts for alowing their participation, and to all the people who accompanied them in this “great recognition”, and all the people who accompanied them in the staging of the show.

With “Fabulas cubanas” closed “this weekend, from the Sala Ernesto Guevara, the International Workshop, the International Workshop of the Afro-American Studies Program “Games of Freedom. Afroamerican Studies Program’s International Workshop “Games of Freedom. Practices of decolonization of the the children’s universe”.

An event where art, games, exhibitions and sciences converged in harmony.

Palabras Al Viento has performed in other venues in the Cuban capital on many and for the first time at the Casa de las Américas, where the presence of the heroine of the Moncada, Haydée Santamaría (founder), and writer and poet Roberto Fernández Retamar.

The institution is currently directed by writer Abel Prieto, former Minister of Culture and author of literary works of high aesthetic height.
