Pope Francis’ clinical conditions remained stable today, with no new episodes of respiratory failure like the two he suffered last Monday, an official Vatican report said Tuesday.
According to a report published on Tuesday afternoon by the Holy See press office, on this day the Supreme Pontiff “remained feverish, always alert, cooperative with therapies and oriented.”
During the morning, he was given high-flow oxygen therapy, as well as respiratory physiotherapy and, as part of the treatment, during the night he will be resumed on non-invasive mechanical ventilation until dawn.
As for the possible recovery of the health of the Holy Father, admitted since February 14 to the Gemelli Polyclinic due to bilateral pneumonia, “the prognosis remains reserved,” adds the latest medical report.
