The awards ceremony of the Provincial Radio Festival in Holguin was held on Thursday, August 22, when the 102nd anniversary of the Cuban Radio Day was also celebrated.
At the ceremony, held at Garbo Recreation Center, awards were given to different specialties such as script, direction, male and female voice-over, acting, dramatized narration and sound production, as well as musical, varied, drama shows, newsreels, propaganda and Internet productions.
More than 100 works were submitted to the competition, grouped in 53 categories, of which more than 30 works as a whole and 8 individual directors were the winners.
The greatest merit of this space is to set the standard for programs that become paradigms, recognizing filmmakers who, with their efforts, guarantee the evolution of communicational codes.

The awards ceremony of the Provincial Radio Festival was also a scenario to recognize by the Party and the Government the necessary and important work of the radio in Holguin as a means of communication with greater coverage to inform, educate and entertain, and to promote culture and the defense of the national identity.

This territorial contest is part of the way to the National Festival that will group the best of the radio signal of the Cuban ether and of which in a few months Artemisa will be the headquarters, reaffirming that this means is: Sound to see.
