The Ministry of the Interior (Minint) has returned several goods stolen from the Base Business Unit (UEB) Oriente II belonging to the Empresa de Aseguramiento y Logística Hidráulica, integrated to the Grupo de Aprovechamiento de Aguas Terrestres, a superior organization subordinated to the Instituto de Recursos Hidráulicos (Hydraulic Resources Institute).
The event was a robbery in the warehouse of the aforementioned UEB, where several resources of the state reserve and of the company’s investment process were stored. Pumping equipment, vertical and horizontal submersible electric pumps were taken.
Captain Roiner Herrera Piña, criminal investigator in charge of the case, explained that during the investigative process, 6 workers were found to be implicated, who have collaborated in the clarification of the crime and acknowledged their involvement in the facts.
Minint recovers goods stolen from Logística Hidráulica
To face this incident, the Minint created a multidisciplinary group obtaining positive results by recovering most of the stolen goods with the irreplaceable collaboration of the people and the mass organizations, as well as workers and directors of Recursos Hidráulicos.
The company received 7 electric pumps, screws for assembly, a compressor, hoses, raw materials and other resources that will be incorporated to the construction of the works that respond to the investment process benefiting communities in the eastern region of the country.
