Cubans Leuris Pupo, Laina Perez, Lisbet Hernandez and Jorge Alvarez were granted on Monday their respective tickets for the Olympic shooting in Paris 2024.
Cuba dazzled the world at the 2024 Americas Rifle and Pistol Championship, staged in Buenos Aires, after winning four medals and three of the eight shooting quotas up for grabs for the multi-sport event, scheduled for July 26 to August 11.

Perez (25-meter pistol), Hernandez (10-meter air rifle) and Alvarez (25-meter rapid fire pistol) won their tickets in Buenos Aires with outstanding performances.
It is worth remembering that Pupo, Olympic champion in London 2012 and runner-up in Tokyo 2020 (2021), had won his place during the continental competition in 2022.

Despite having his ticket assured, Pupo further won the 25-meter rapid fire pistol competition in Buenos Aires, to make crystal-clear who is the best shooter in the region nowadays.
