For more than a decade, Celestino Bookstore of the Provincial Center of Books and Literature in Holguin has been accompanying Ediciones La Luz in each of its regular events: Open the Constellations, Ode to the Young Light, Fugue Point or Emergency Entrance, all dedicated to the general public; or in which the protagonists are the youngest readers: I Want to Tell You, Dreamcatchers or Piñata of Letters.
Likewise, the bookstore has been inserted in the regular programming of the Casa del Joven Creador, the Hermanos Saíz Association and its annual system of events, among which the Romerías de Mayo, the Festival de Teatro Joven and the Festival del Humor Satiricón stand out. In all of them, young Cuban literature is represented at the sales stands where new publications are exhibited.
However, the Celestino Bookstore’s greatest prominence comes each year with the International Book Fair. In the recently concluded 32nd edition, it accompanied the passage of La luz through its journey through Havana, Matanzas, Ciego de Avila and Camagüey.Likewise, in Holguin, the “Celestino” book store proudly exhibited the books of this publishing house, won to the arduous life, the dreams and the uneasiness of the printing presses.
Ediciones La Luz thanks the team of the Celestino Bookstore, led by Elieser Mancilla, for all the strength it puts in so that the clarity of La Luz does not tire of advancing to where the solicitous hands of its most faithful readers offer themselves.
