Marco Rubio Signs Weekly Round of Measures Against Cuba

Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced this Thursday his almost weekly round of anti-Cuban measures. This time targeting the Cuban financial, mining, and energy sectors.

In his declared aim to strangle the economy and collectively punish the Cuban people. Mr. Rubio designated the following entities as targets for repression in their relations with the world:

Foreign Bank of Cuba, a Cuban state-owned bank specializing in corporate banking, foreign trade finance, and international transactions.

Commander René Ramos Latour Services Company (NICAROTEC), a Cuban state-owned company that provides industrial and technical services. Including geological and mining support to the Cuban nickel sector.

Nickel Importing and Supply Company (CEXNI), a foreign trade and logistics company that imports and supplies specialized raw materials, machinery, and equipment for the Cuban nickel and cobalt industries.

Petroleum Supply Importing Company (ABAPET), a subsidiary of CUPET, primarily participates in supporting CUPET’s bidding processes. It has specifically imported technological equipment, spare parts, specialized tools, and industrial supplies necessary to sustain Cuba’s energy sector.

CUPET Commercial S.A., a Cuban state-owned entity, represents CUPET in negotiations and joint ventures with foreign entities.

This Thursday’s list also includes a grandson of Army General Raúl Castro Ruz.
