Holguin Bets on Public-Private Partnerships to Boost its Economy

The Holguin Science, Technology, and Industrial Park (NUCL3UM S.A.) solidified its role as a strategic bridge for regional development. Following its active participation in the recent Business Forum for Territorial Development.

This event established itself as a key space for connecting the province’s business network. Bringing together representatives from state-owned enterprises, micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), cooperatives, the tourism sector, and government institutions. The central objective of the forum was to transform local needs into concrete projects. Through the creation of strategic alliances that will drive Holguin’s economic growth.

From NUCL3UM S.A.’s perspective, innovation in the current context must transcend mere technological development. To focus on social engagement, building trust, and creating synergies among the various actors in the economy. Under this approach, the organization argued that true transformation occurs when ideas and institutions connect to solve real problems in the region.

Among the most significant moments of the Forum, held at the end of July in Holguin, was the presentation of PICLA. A Management and Trade Platform aimed at strengthening bilateral collaboration between Cuba and China. Through its joint work with this platform, NUCL3UM S.A. seeks to facilitate access to supplies. Optimize logistics, and foster trade relations that directly benefit new economic actors in the region.

At the same time, the event served as a platform to present the updated portfolio of opportunities in the tourism sector. Following recent transformations in this key industry, new channels of integration have opened up for non-state management entities. Allowing them to participate in the region’s economic dynamics. This integration reaffirms that Holguin’s sustainable progress requires knowledge, active collaboration, and a shared vision for development.
