MecaV in Holguin ratifies its National Vanguard status

As part of the activities in commemoration of International Workers’ Day, MecaV trading company in Holguin ratified, for the second straight year, the status of National Vanguard, conferred by the Cuban Workers’ Confederation (CTC).

The ceremony was attended by Alberto Moré Gutiérrez, member of the National Secretariat of the Transport and Ports Union; Yaima Hidalgo Aguilera, maximum representative of transport workers in the territory, among other members of political and mass organizations.

The group, whose main working mission is the repair and maintenance of motor vehicles, shows sustained achievements in spite of the complex situation the country is facing, which is the reason why they were awarded with this recognition.

Ania Velázquez Escalona, commercial partner of the entity, reported on the results of their work at this stage and its impact on the development of the economy. In this regard, she emphasized that they were able to increase revenues in 2023 and therefore exceeded the plan.

She also meant that the stage concluded without occupational accidents or illegalities, they were able to reduce electricity consumption and promote union activity, with emphasis on the affiliation and political preparation of the workers.

Raising the quality of services, increasing actions for the energetic fight against crime, promoting the fulfillment of plans and the link with the Association of Innovators and Rationalizers were some of the commitments ratified at the meeting.

During the ceremony, workers of the entity, protagonists of these achievements, who stand out for their commitment to the center and its social purpose beyond the difficulties, were also recognized.
