In Holguín ConcienciArte Symposium of Social Sciences and Arts

The Provincial Center of Culture Upgrading, together with the Provincial Directive Culture Board of Holguín and the university publishing house Conciencia Ediciones, call for the second edition of the Symposium of Social Sciences and Arts ConcienciArte, to be held on July 11 and 12 in the nicknamed Cuban City of the Parks.

On this occasion, the event will be dedicated to the tenth anniversary of Conciencia Ediciones, publishing house of the University of Holguin, and to research and teaching work of historian Georgelina Miranda Pelaez.

The event will be open to participate, either in person or online, cultural sector managers, professors, academics, researchers, artists, creators, students, entrepreneurs and cultural managers, national and foreign, who work to achieve a sustainable development of culture from the study and use of sciences.

Among the topics to be discussed are the management of overcoming as a way for socio-cultural development, editorial work: challenges and perspectives, communication management and new technologies in culture, participation and leadership of women: role of social sciences and culture to promote gender equality, relations between heritage, tourism and local development and cultural tourism: technologies and trends.

The ConcienciArte organizing committee requests those interested in presenting their research results to submit their papers before May 15, 2009, by e-mail to csuper@baibrama.cult.cu, after which it reserves the right to reject those that do not meet the requirements.

The Social Sciences and Arts Symposium ConcienciArte aims, since its foundation in 2023, to socialize the results of research by professionals in the fields of culture, arts and social sciences related to community work, promotion, improvement, training and cultural management.
