Holguin team presented for the 63rd National Baseball Series

Infielders Yordan Manduley and Edilse Silva, along with pitcher Wilson Paredes, are the most experienced players in the team Holguin Cachorros for the XLIII National Baseball Series.

By the way, Manduley will have his son, of the same name, as a teammate among the infielders, something unprecedented in Holguin baseball.

The team’s catcher is headed by Nelson Batista, accompanied by Víctor Alejandro Paz, Jolber Naranjo and Víctor Manuel García.

Along with Edilse and Manduley, the defense of the team is formed by: Ernesto Torres, Adriel Luis Hechavarría, Luis Raúl Domínguez, Luis Miguel Santiesteban, Richard Oliva, Michael Álvarez, Andriw Valido, Raúl Pupo, Danel Rodríguez and Lázaro Thompson.

Edward Magaña, Aníbal Vaillant, Juan Christian Onofre, Arley Poll Maceo, Dagoberto Agüero, Andrys Adrián Agüero, Ariel Céspedes and Geobelis Poll Roque were chosen to guard the outfield.

The starters for Holguín team will be, together with Paredes, Uberleydis Estévez, Jesús Enrique Pérez and Yadir Bornot, while the long relievers are Vladimir Chadez, José Manuel Rivas and Álvaro Cobas.

The Cachorros’ middle relievers are Ramiro Rodríguez and Luis Cáser, set-up men Jesús Quintán, Arley Espinosa and Orleidis Cuba, and closers José Antonio Sánchez and Juan Luis Matos.

The new manager, Lugdis Pineda Romero, is accompanied by Orbill Pascual (3rd Baseball Coach), Daniel Hinararitis (1st Baseball Coach), Yoenis Duboy (Pitching Coach), Norberto Colón (Bullpen Coach), Luis Sánchez (Physical Training) and Juan Rondón (Bench Coach).

The average age of the Holguín team is 33.9 years old, with 18 rookies, four left-handed hitters and two left-handed pitchers. The squad is made up of 39 players.
