With a growth brought by the entry into operation of the hotel plant of the base in Los Bajos beach, Campismo Popular Holguin showed the largest development program in the country during the year 2023.
Carlos Toledo Armas, provincial director of the company in statements to ACN, informed that the territory has a plant of 169 cabins and 230 tents, although not all available, for a capacity of 1,814 guests, including 674 in rooms and 1,140 in the modality of tents.
He highlighted among the results of the entity, pioneer in the digital platform of online reservations developed by the Defense Information Technology Company Xetid, the income of more than 144 thousand pesos by this means, while by the use of the QR code of the Transfermóvil and Enzona applications, more than three million pesos were collected.
An arduous work was carried out in social networks that reached the figure of approximately nine thousand followers, in addition to the inclusion of e-commerce, banking and the implementation of the “Mochila al hombro” program, as important achievements contemplated in the commercialization, he emphasized.
Regarding the finishing of the new bases, Toledo Armas acknowledged that, due to the progressive deterioration of the tents -made with materials that are not compatible with the rigors of the tropical climate-, work is being done on solid alternatives for durable constructions that will allow campers to stay all year round without difficulties in the face of weather conditions.
The results in the substitution of imports, the production chaining as a way to increase contracting with non-state management forms and the implementation of the Food Sovereignty Program aimed at boosting the circular economy, are some of the actions that will continue to be executed during 2024, he explained.
Following a decision by Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, the development plan of Campismo Popular on Holguin coast line was approved to reduce indiscipline and provide better services to the people, so that, starting in 2019, the construction of eight new facilities began, of which three are about to be completed, including Caletones, in the municipality of Gibara; Cayo Guam, in Moa, and Juan Vicente, in Mayarí.
As projections for this year, Campismo Popular in Holguín proposes to create eye-catching products for customers, aimed at obtaining better results in the commercial activity, in addition to advancing in the process of bankarization and making greater use of institutional pages to increase promotion and the necessary feedback with customers.
