Manuel Marrero Cruz, Prime Minister of the Republic of Cuba, attended this Sunday the IX Ordinary Session of the Municipal Assembly of the People’s Power of Gibara, for which he is a deputy to the Parliament, in which the plan and budget of this territory from Holguin provice for the year 2024.
Among the issues checked were the analysis of the estimate for the closing of the closing of the Economy Plan, the behavior of the main indicators and the projection for the coming year, in addition to the evaluation of the compliance with the Food Sovereignty Law in the agri-food industry, fishing and tourism in Gibara.

Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz urged during the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power of Gibara, in the eastern province of Holguin, to strengthen agriculture in the municipalities based on its own potential to satisfy the needs of the people.
During the meeting, the estimated closing of the Economy Plan, the behavior of the main indicators and their projection for the coming year were reviewed, where the sectors of food production, tourism and fishing were prioritized.
Marrero Cruz affirmed that agriculture is the wealth of a people; therefore, it is necessary to provide support, follow-up and accompaniment to farmers, increase internal control and confront illegalities and intermediaries that stagnate and inflate the processes of purchase and sale of products. / ACN.
