Inés María Chapman Waugh, deputy prime minister of the Republic of Cuba, together with her two fellow deputies to the Cuban Parliament for the municipality of Banes, in Holguín, toured this Friday the economic and social objectives of that territory.
Through her prifle in X, Chapman Waugh, informed that they visited economic and social sites such as Naranjo drinking water treatment plant and the and the Pumping Station that supplys part of the population in Guardalavaca town and nearby hotels.
During the exchange with the people, they called to find solutions among all with the solutions with the appropriate linkage to production units and different local economic actors.
Then, they talked with residents of the Retrete People’s Council about the current economic problems and possible alternative solutions.
The deputies also exchanged with workers and students of the Luis Corona elementary school. In addition, they visited the home for the elderly in the municipality of Banes with a capacity for 154 elderly adults, place which is currently under rehabilitation.
According to the Constitution approved in 2019, the deputies have the duty to develop their functions for the benefit of the people through the direct link with their electors to whom they are accountable for their functions.
Holguín is the eastern province with the highest number of deputies to the Cuban Parliament (40) who represent the most important economic and social sectors of society.
