The audiovisual contest Por Primera Vez called from Holguin makes a come back tinged with new proposals.
As the goal is making an edition more grounded to the current contexts, the call includes for this contest, in addition to short documentaries, fiction and animation films, video art and video clips; the Pitch is extended to all types of audiovisual projects that defend innovation and creativity in the representation of our identity.
Por Primera Vez (For the First Time) intends to become not only a fund that promotes audiovisual projects, but also a place that reinforces the knowledge of young creators, for which a series of workshops on the central theme are conceived, such as directing assistance, direction of actors and conception and defense of Pitching.
Maylán Heredia Martínez, head of the Promotion Department of the Provincial Film Center, said that the deadline for submission of works is December 31… “we are already working on the conception of a successful festival that will contribute to the training of filmmakers and financial support for their work”.
In order to achieve a superior Festival, the Provincial Film Center works together with independent production companies such as i4films, with the production of Reymel Delgado, in addition to receiving the support of the cultural institutions of the territory.
In addition to Por Primera Vez Contest for new works, the Pitch of the event seeks to promote the creators of the country who will be able to present their works to be exhibited in the parallel exhibition presented by the same.
