July 26th celebration took place in the Cuban municipality of “Rafael Freyre” for the favorable results achieved in the housing program and in the repair and restoration of works of socioeconomic impact.
The municipality of Rafael Freyre, in Holguin province, hosted this Sunday the main event for July 26th celebration for its own merits, a deserved recognition to a people that have got together to reach better living standards and the attention to communities and people in conditions of vulnerability.

In addition, 114 works of economic and social interest were carried out in response to proposals from the accountability process and the country’s prioritized policies, as well as 16 comprehensive rehabilitations and a hundred state investments to greet July 26th celebration.
As part of the event, a special distinction was made to several MSMEs for their contribution to the capital repair of the medical room of the Mario Muñoz Monroy polyclinic with hospitalization service, and outstanding organizations were recognized for their work in Education, Agriculture, Community Services, Public Health and Construction.
Ernesto Santiesteban Velázquez, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and first secretary in the province, regarding the achievements made by the territory in the first half of the year, highlighted the infant mortality figure of 6.25 per thousand live births and also, the progress in the urban farm program with a greater presence of vegetables and greens.
He mentioned that the telecommunications and information technology sector has increasingly installed fixed telephony capacities and has generated an increase in the mobile network service. He also highlighted the implementation of changes in the energy matrix that have benefited thousands of inhabitants.
On the eve of July 26, the “Manzanitas del cariño” children’s home was inaugurated in Fray Benito, the eighth of its kind in the province and which has a capacity for 25 children of working mothers belonging to the Education sector.July 26thThe Radiology department of the Mario Muñoz polyclinic in the town was repaired.
