Summer season 2023 inaugurated in Holguin

With a performance of the local youth artistic talent took place in Santa Lucia, municipality of Rafael Freyre, the provincial inauguration event of the summer season 2023 in Holguin.

Ernesto Santiesteban Velázquez, member of the Central Committee and first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in the province, Manuel Hernández Aguilera, governor of Holguín, as well as political and governmental leaders of the municipality and the mass organizations in the territory were present at the meeting.

In this way, during the meeting, the community approach of the activities to be carried out in the stage was emphasized, promoting a wide variety of recreational offers that contribute to the sound recreation of children and young people, and a greater enjoyment for the Holguin family in general.

Yanilet Morales Cedeño, first secretary of the Young Communist League (UJC for its Spanish acronym) in the municipality ofRafael Freyre, said that among the activities planned, stand out the promotion of knowledge on history among young people, as well as the link with Jose Marti’s ideology.

The meeting was also the opportunity for handing over to a group of young people in the territory, of the card that accredits them as UJC members, as well as, the condition Una Mejor Juventud (A Better Youth), to outstanding members in the activities of this youth organization.

Thus was officially inaugurated the summer season 2023 in the northeastern Cuban province of Holguin, a period that demands a high commitment from all sectors in the territory, to meet the expectations of the population, and thus contribute to the enjoyment of all.

Every time the summer season comes authorities arrange a varied program focused on sound recreation which includes cultural activities and sports events, so  much indoor and outdoor offers.

Transport is also to play a key role to take people to beaches, rivers, camping sites, or any other place to serve the people during the summer season, specially children and youths.
