Work Suspends in Cuba on July 25th, 26th, and 27th

The Ministry of Labor and Social Security reports that work activities will be suspended on July 25th, 26th, and 27th. With the exception of those related to economic sectors and services vital to society.

According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, this includes activities related to the sugar harvest and other urgent agricultural work. Continuous production process industries; essential loading and unloading operations. Transportation services and their indispensable technical support. Hospital and healthcare services; pharmacies; fuel stations; funeral homes; related gardens and cemeteries. As well as lodging, tourist centers, communications, radio and television broadcasting, and other essential public services.

Fishing activities and other activities determined by the relevant authorities will continue. In which case double pay will be given for all hours worked. According to the wage treatment stipulated in Article 111 of the Labor Code.

Workers currently on paid annual leave, unpaid leave, social security benefits. Or wage guarantees as provided by law will continue to receive this treatment.

The holiday of July 26th, 2026, will not be moved. As although it falls on a Sunday, the following day is a public holiday.
