The Ibero-American Culture Festival kicked off its journey toward its 32nd edition. With the official launch of its communications campaign in Gibara, organizers confirmed.
The call for entries for the cultural event, which will take place under the theme “Ancestral Cultures from Contemporary Perspectives.” It places the role of arts education in safeguarding and reinterpreting intangible heritage at the center of the discussion.
Moreover the official launch of the communications campaign and the visual identity for this new edition occurred within the context of the collateral activities of the 20th International Poor Film Festival.
Ernesto Angulo, director of the Ibero-American House—the institution that organizes the major cultural event in Holguin. Presented the main conceptual lines that will guide the promotion of the Festival during a panel discussion.

The graphic design was created by José Enrique Agüero, president of the Cuban Association of Social Communicators (ACCS) in Holguin. With the aim of establishing a direct dialogue between historical heritage and contemporary visual culture.
Mercedes Lores, head of the Communication Department of the sponsoring institution. She highlighted the multidisciplinary nature of a program that will once again bring together theoretical spaces, artistic expressions, and community work.

Choosing the Gibara Poor Film Festival as the launch platform facilitated the dissemination of the call for entries to filmmakers, researchers, students, and creators. With a strong commitment to integration within the Ibero-American sphere.
Liliana Avilés, an International Relations Specialist at the Ibero-American House, also participated in the presentation. Lisandra Calis, Provincial Deputy Director of Culture for Artistic Education. And Yakelín Tapia, Provincial Director of Culture.
With over three decades of history, this festival has established itself as one of Cuba’s main platforms for cultural exchange. And the dissemination of the shared roots of the region’s peoples.
