Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and President of the Republic, today demanded an urgent reaction. From the international community to the United States’ attack on Venezuela.

On his official social media account, Díaz-Canel stated: “Cuba denounces and demands an URGENT reaction from the international community against the criminal attack by the United States on Venezuela.”

“Our Zone of Peace is being brutally assaulted. State terrorism against the brave Venezuelan people and against Our America. Homeland or Death! We will prevail!”

Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Cuba’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, also condemned the aggression against the Venezuelan people early this morning.

In X, the Foreign Minister said: “The bombings and acts of war against Caracas and other locations in the country are cowardly acts against a nation that has not attacked the US or any other country.”

Likewise, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz and Esteban Lazo Hernández, President of the National Assembly of People’s Power, condemned the attacks against Caracas and other locations.

Both leaders demanded mobilization of the international community to defend Latin America and the Caribbean as a zone of peace.

Early Saturday morning, a statement from the Bolivarian nation denounced “the extremely serious military aggression perpetrated by the current government of the United States of America against Venezuelan territory and population in the civilian and military areas of the city of Caracas, the capital of the Republic, and the states of Miranda, Aragua, and La Guaira.”

“This act constitutes a flagrant violation of the Charter of the United Nations. Especially Articles 1 and 2, which enshrine respect for sovereignty. Also the legal equality of states, and the prohibition of the use of force.” Such aggression threatens international peace and stability. Particularly in Latin America and the Caribbean, and seriously endangers the lives of millions of people.
