On September 25th, singer-songwriter Waldo Mendoza and the cast of the popular Cuban soap opera “Return to the Heart” will arrive in Holguin. As one of the highlights of their national tour, which they are embarking on today.
The event, organized by the Cuban Recording and Music Publishing Company (EGREM), seeks to celebrate the success of the production on Cuban Television. Which featured a soundtrack composed by the singer.
Two performances will take place in Holguin: on Thursday, September 25th, at the Bariay Cultural Center at 9:00 p.m. Also on the 26th, at the Velasco House of Music at 10:00 p.m. As part of a month-long tour that will span several provinces across the country.
The tour will begin in Guantanamo and continue to places such as Santiago de Cuba, Camagüey, Sancti Spiritus, Trinidad, Cienfuegos, and Matanzas. Concluding in Havana on October 19th, in honor of Cuban Culture Day—October 20th. With a special concert at the Karl Marx Theater.
In addition to the music from the soap opera, the centerpiece of this tour, Waldo will perform songs from his latest album, “Santiago on me,” a tribute to Cuba’s eastern roots.
With this tour, Waldo Mendoza and the stars of “Regreso al corazón” (Return to the Heart) offer fans of the soup opera. Currently broadcast on Cubavision, the opportunity to enjoy live performances of the creators and figures.
