FITCuba 2025 concludes, described as successful

The 43rd International Tourism Fair of Cuba (FITCuba 2025) concluded today in Havana. Described by most of the attendees as successful.

That evaluation points to the organizational efficiency of the Ministry of Tourism (Mintur) of Cuba, and to the goodness that is appreciated in terms of the potential of this archipelago for the different modalities of recreation.

Dedicated to China as the guest country and Cuban Traditions as a producto. It’s scope went beyond, with different proposals from the Mintur.In the general balance of travel possibilities to this island are circuits. Nautical recreation, history and culture, nature, adventure and rural areas, and heritage sites.

After three days of debates, the meeting now moves on to the Day of the General Public. When anyone who wants to visit the exhibition areas can do so. In such an attractive scenario as the fortress of San Carlos de la Cabaña, and thus dialogue and get in touch with the world of travel.

FITCuba 2025 (April 30th to May 3rd) also paid special attention to nature, adventure and rural travel, with a wide range of proposals for visitors.

The central venue of the event is the Morro-Cabaña military-tourist complex. A colonial fortress that stands out in Havana for its preservation and for tours that cover the history and culture of this nation.

Official data on tourism on the island indicate the existence of 84,164 hotel rooms. Cuba currently has 10 international airports and an equal number of marinas, with three cruise terminals.

In addition, 19 foreign managers from 10 countries operate in this archipelago, with 57,291 rooms in 153 facilities. Led by Spain and Meliá Hotels International, which manages 36 establishments.

Some 58 countries, including Cuba, joined FITCuba 2025, where more than 1,500 foreigners and a total of 2,553 representatives from the state and non-state sectors participated. While some 20 familiarization trips promoted Cuba as a destination.

Juan Carlos García Granda, Cuban Minister of Tourism, announced that the 44th International Tourism Fair of Cuba (FITCuba 2026), to be held in Varadero, in the western part of the country, will be dedicated to Canada, the main market for travelers to Cuba, and to the sun and beach destination.
