With the national ceremony held at Raúl Gómez García Elementary School of Art in the city of Holguin, began this Monday the school course in the artistic education, in the presence of the top leadership of culture and authorities of the territory, and of the center of schools of art of Cuba.
Under the musical direction of Maestro Oreste Saavedra there performed the Chamber Orchestra belonging to José María Ochoa Correa Professional School of Music, the quartet Cuarteto de Cuerdas Pulsadas, the Palabras al Viento oral narration company and soloists and students trained at the Holguin branch of the University of the Arts.
The Holguin center was awarded with the venue of the national event for its excellent results in the main artistic and pedagogical processes in the country, such as the passing level, recruitment and admission, efficiency indicators and school organization, as explained by Elizabeth Castro, director of the National Center of Art Schools.
The event, in which the province of Holguin was recognized for its comprehensive results in the training of future professionals in the field of culture, was presided over Arelis Marrero Guerrero, member of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party (PCC) and member of the Provincial Bureau; Manuel Francisco Hernández Aguilera, deputy to the Parliament and Governor of Holguín; and María Luisa Pérez López de Queralta, vice rector of the University of the Arts.
The director of the National Center of Art Schools, extoled in the event the commitment for the humanist formation and the technical-artistic quality of the students in this new beginning of artistic education, with more than 10,000 students., who will be trained by more than four thousand teachers.
