The Varadero Josone Festival; Rumba, Jazz & Son in its fourth edition will be held from this Monday until August 25 in the city of Matanzas and Cuba’s most famous beach resort, where music and landscape are the protagonists.
The musician and president of the event, Issac Delgado, said exclusively to Prensa Latina that this year three nights of concerts have been conceived (from the 18th to the 20th) in Matanzas, specifically on the beach of El Tenis.
Meanwhile, from August 22nd to 25th, the Josone Park in Varadero, one of the most important tourist destinations in the Caribbean, will be the meeting point for important Cuban artists and orchestras such as Haila María Mompié, Alain Pérez, Maykel Blanco y su Salsa Mayor, Síntesis, Issac Delgado, Formell and Los Van Van, among many others.
As a prelude to this mix of sonic virtuosity, Adriano DJ’s project will animate Josone Park to promote interaction between the young public and the personalities invited to the event.
For the first time, the Casa de la Música in Varadero will host two children’s activities on Saturday and Sunday mornings, an initiative that Delgado considers attractive given the difficulty of finding such opportunities in the context of a festival.
