Two prizes for Holguin’s Ediciones La Luz at Havana Book Fair

At the 32nd Havana International Book Fair, Ediciones La Luz, publishing house of the Hermanos Saíz Association in Holguin, received the Reader’s Grand Prize for the book of poems “Consejos para no acatar” (Advice not to obey), by Miguel Barnet, Cuban poet, narrator, essayist and ethnologist, winner of the 1994 National Literature Prize.

About “Consejos…” and its author, critic Lázaro Castillo said: “It reveals the vitality of a poet who at the age of eighty is dazzled by the night, believes in love, goes to a bar and mythologizes it. He is a man who lives in full mental youth”.
