The incorporation of New World as a new management model linked to the recovery of raw materials in eastern Cuba promotes environmental protection and job creation. Through recycling, an initiative that transforms waste into an economically viable and healthy resource for communities.
Miguel Alejandro Torres Pavón, an executive of the entity, informed the Cuban News Agency that the MSME is leading the process. By collecting, sorting, and processing plastic bottles. A material that was previously wasted and is now being reintroduced into the production cycle as raw material.
The company operates throughout the province and extends collection to other areas of eastern Cuba. Also through support from recycling centers, collection points, and daily routes by collectors who deliver the raw materials directly to the facility.
Marinelis Torres Pavón, administrator of the micro, small, and medium-sized enterprise (MSME), explained that they maintain a relationship with the Parranda Brewery through a contract. That involves exchanging bottles for a virtual currency via a web platform that manages the exchange.
This business strategy greatly contributes to community cleanliness and the gradual elimination of these bottles. From landfills and streets, resulting in improved hygiene and public health.
New World’s services include freight transport, landscaping, and industrial facility cleaning. With plans to export recycled materials and expand its capabilities, thus strengthening its presence in the region.
