The people of Holguin paid solemn posthumous homage to Commander of the Cuban Revolution Ramiro Valdés Menéndez. In a day filled with respect and profound patriotism.
From early morning, Holguin residents gathered at the La Periquera Provincial Museum to pay their respects. And bid farewell to one of the historical figures of the Revolution.
The ceremony was led by the head of the Eastern Army, Major General Eugenio Armando Rabilero Aguilera. Along with the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in Holguin, Joel Queipo Ruiz. And the Governor of the province, Manuel Hernández Aguilera.
Also throughout the day, the deep respect of the population for a man who played a leading role in important moments of Cuban revolutionary history was evident.
Floral offerings and honor guards marked the tribute. In which young people, workers, and veterans also participated. Reaffirming the legacy of commitment and steadfastness that characterized Valdés Menéndez.
In this way, Holguin joined the national mourning. In a farewell filled with symbolism and commitment to the ideals defended by Ramiro Valdés Menéndez.
