Díaz-Canel attends sessions of the 5th International Patria Colloquium

Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, participated this Friday in the second day of the 5th International Patria Colloquium. Which featured a panel on sanctions, the economic blockade. And the legitimization of US aggression against Cuba.

The Cuban president is thus attending once again the event. Since April 16th, has brought together experts and media personalities from more than 25 countries in Havana.

Moreover the panel “Cognitive Warfare, Interference, Destabilization Operations, and Hate Speech on Social Media” brought together journalists and analysts. Also who warned about the role of digital environments in shaping political narratives and building media consensus in conflict scenarios.

The Colloquium’s agenda also included workshops on April 17th on the themes of “Cognitive Warfare, Interference, and Destabilization” and “Latin America as a Laboratory for Digital Intervention.”

As part of his tour of the venue, the Cuban head of state gave statements to media outlets participating in the event. And stopped at the Ministry of Communications’ booth. Where he received an explanation of the country’s progress in incorporating and developing artificial intelligence and computer technology tools. To address national communication challenges and to convey the reality of the Caribbean nation to its inhabitants and the rest of the world.

The 5th International Patria Colloquium, which concludes this Saturday, April 18th. It is establishing itself as a forum for outlining guidelines for the development and growth of alternative communication projects. Its dedication also serves as a tribute to the centennial of the birth of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz and the 65th anniversary of the Bay of Pigs victory.
