The Polinesio restaurant in the city of Holguin, the second of its kind in Cuba, reopened its doors after a renovation. As part of the investments being made to celebrate the anniversary of the Cuban Revolution.
Joel Quipo Ruíz, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and first secretary in the province, attended the reopening on Tuesday. He reiterated that quality and variety should distinguish the services through constant feedback from customers.
The iconic establishment, known for its comprehensive cuisine and the comfort and appeal of its spaces, was inaugurated on July 25th, 1983. By the Prime Minister of Grenada, Maurice Bishop, during a visit to the city, and by Melba Hernández, heroine of the Moncada attack.
Located atop the Sierra Cristal building in the Cuban city of Parks. The Polinesio restaurant closed its doors in February 2017 for its first major renovation. Which included replacing the plumbing, sanitation, and electrical systems.

With its updated décor, the Polinesio invites those who choose it as their go-to restaurant in Holguin, a city of approximately 300,000 inhabitants, to enjoy a pleasant stay.
The Holguin Polinesio, following its counterpart in Havana’s Hotel Habana Libre. It offers several service areas, including the restaurant, two formal lounges, a waiting bar, and an outdoor bar on the terrace, with a total capacity of 192.
Miriela Infante Rodríguez, director of the Lodging and Gastronomy Company in the province, stated that through production chains. They are working to revive dishes that characterize the restaurant’s menu and that remain part of Holguin’s cultural heritage.
