15th International Convention on the Environment Meets in Cuba

More than 700 delegates from Cuba and a dozen other countries are participating in the 15th International Convention on Environment and Development. Held at the Havana Convention Center until July 5th.

The event, held every two years, officially begins this Wednesday with the participation of professionals from Argentina, Canada, Chile, Spain, the United States, Haiti, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Saint Lucia, and Suriname, among other nations.

Under the slogan “Greater Awareness for a Healthy Environment,” conferences, panels, and numerous events within Cubambiente 2025 will cover important and current topics ranging from environmental education to climate change.

An Exhibition Fair is included, a showcase for environmental innovations and projects to be visible and accessible to all participants.

The event encourages the exchange of technologies and experiences to promote the implementation of sustainable practices in different contexts.

The extensive program of the XV Convention also includes the XV Congress on Environmental Education for Sustainable Development. The XIV Congress on Protected Areas. The XII Congress on Environmental Management, and the X Congress on Ecosystem and Biodiversity Management.

Also included are the IX Congress on Climate Change. The VII Congress on Environmental Policy, Justice, and Law. The III Congress on Geospatial Sciences and Disaster Risk, and the VI Colloquium on Transportation and the Environment.

In addition, the II International Meeting of Foundations and Civil Society Organizations, United for the Climate. The Symposium “Youth of the World for the Development of a Healthy and Inclusive Environment,” and the Panel on Women in Science and the Environment will be held.
