The teams from Holguin, category 9-10 and 11-12 years old, were eliminated at the hands of their counterparts from Bayamo, Granma, when both fell by sweep in the National Championship of the Little Leagues.
In games with a stage in the Manuel Alarcón Reina baseball stadium, the Holguin team was defeated in doubleheader between 9-10 years old, with scores of 7×1 and 16×0. Yordanis García and Roexis Soto were charged with the setbacks.
In the 11-12 category, the Bayamese team gave a 3×0 no-hit no-run to Holguin, thanks to the combined work of pitchers Hanser Soto and Emmanuel Rodríguez. The broom was completed this Sunday with a score of 7×4, success for Dayán Camilo and defeat for Maikol Pavón.
In this way, the children of Bayamo advanced in this baseball league to the quarterfinal stage and next Saturday they will receive the teams of Santiago de Cuba, perpetrators of Guantánamo.
