The auditorium of the campus “José de la Luz y Caballero” hosted, this Thursday, the graduation ceremony of the pedagogical studies of the University of Holguin, in its 56th anniversary.
After assuming dissimilar tasks, acquiring knowledge and with the responsibility of forming the new generations, 154 graduates of the pedagogical sciences of the regular daytime course received the title that accredits them as professionals at the service of education in Holguin.
The satisfaction of the graduates for concluding a stage and the emotion of facing new challenges were the most recurrent expressions in the day where 22 students received the Suma Cum Laude, maximum award that distinguishes their path there, the scientific contributions and the academic index.
The best graduates by fields were also recognized, among them Melissa Maura Rodríguez González, from the Bachelor’s Degree in Education Pedagogy Psychology, Eilen Almaguer Martínez from the Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Languages -English, Daniela Reyes Córdoba from the Bachelor’s Degree in Economic Education and Lud Mariam Sánchez Domínguez from the Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry Education.
PhD. Aniuska Ortiz, rector of the university, recalled how their professors contributed to their education, encouraging them to devote themselves completely to this work that requires competent professionals, in tune with today’s demands.
The graduation ceremony, also dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution and the 98th anniversary of the birth of the Commander of the Revolution Fidel Castro, was attended by authorities of the Communist Party of Cuba, the educational sector, leaders of Young Communist League, the Federation of University Students, members of the Board of Directors, family members and guests from organizations and entities of the territory.
