The research includes several topics such as the maintenance of solar panels installed in rural areas and hard-to reach areas, the exploitation of waste from pig breeding to use it for power generation and collaboration with international projects focused on supporting the growth of renewable energies.

Based on these studies, methodologies have been established for the training of professionals to guarantee the closing of the cycle in the results, applying innovation, said to ACN Alejandro Torres Gómez de Cádiz Hernández, territorial delegate of Citma.

Likewise, the province already has more than 20 solar pumps used in water supply and more than 100 irrigation systems with this technology installed in the municipalities of Báguanos and Banes, which allows maintaining services to the population, agricultural yield and reducing the use of fossil fuels, he said.
