The Sultancitos of Holguín playing as visitors will defend the provincial crown of the Little Baseball League vs the Tigrecitos of Báguanos, at Ricardo Bent Williams ballpark on Saturday 27 and, if necessary, on Sunday 28.
The Sultancitos won the ticket to the final by defeating the Vaqueritos of Calixto García twice, this Saturday 20 at the Feliú Leyva baseball field, and the Tigrecitos did the same, on the same date and also as hosts, against the Leoncitos of Frank País.
The first victory of the defending champions: 7-0 thanks to the jon in the hill by Dayron Oro, who was supported by the offense of Alexandro Martínez (2-2), – a homerun and four runs batted in.
Little League Baseball, crown
The second victory of Holguín team (14-1), by the mercy rule in five innings, with Maikol Pavón winning, and Alexandro Martínez who relieved him. Darwin Matos (3-3) and Gabriel Sánchez (2-3), who produced 12 hits.
At the Ricardo Bent Willians baseball field, the team of Baguanos started with a (3-0) win, with the victorious for thrower Kendris González: 12 batters struck out, while Maikol Piñeiro saved.
The other success of the local squad was also a blank: (5-0), Ernesto Manli won, while Enmanuel Estrada (1-2) and one run batted in, and Antony Hernández, with a homerun in two chances, stood out in the ffense.
The winner of the matches between Sultancitos of Holguín and Tigrecitos of Báguanos will represent the province in the national event of the category.
