Many activities involving workers and patients of Vladimir Ilich Lenin teaching hospital are carried out at the health giant in Holguin, as part of the celebrations for its 58th anniversary, to be commemorated next November 7.
Among them is a scientific conference with research contributions in the last year by professionals from the different medical services and specialties of the institution.
Scientific Conference for 58th years of Lenin Hospital
According to Dr. Julio Yamel Verdecia Reyes, provincial director of Health, “the development of this event offers the possibility of presenting scientific results, consolidating itself as a space for exchanging experiences not only as a teaching-research exercise where professionals can demonstrate their skills and knowledge, but also as a way of solving teaching and healthcare problems and acquiring greater experience for the improvement of professional performance”.
The event will be held in person on the 2nd and 3rd of upcoming November at the teaching block of Lenin Hospital, wuth deadline for registration of the research papers to be presented is October 28th.
Among the themes convened the following ones stand out: Oncological diseases, Infertility, Women and Children Care, Human Resources Training, Natural and Traditional Medicine and Rehabilitation and Medical Care, all of which contribute to the quality of patient care and the center’s teaching activities.
Scientific Conference for 58th years of Lenin Hospital
Historically, the activities to celebrate the start-up of this center, the first hospital founded after the revolutionary triumph on November 7, 1965 by Fidel Castro in eastern Cuba, include a tribute to the founders, recognition of outstanding professionals, master lectures given by high-level specialists and the central ceremony where the Lenin Award for Life’s Work will be presented.
